About the tutor
Sacha Morávek runs Sugar & Spice, a friendly community coffee shop, which focuses on locally sourced, ethically produced crafts and eco products. Sacha moved to Settle from Kent after falling in love with the area, and opened Sugar & Spice having left teaching. At the coffee shop she hosts monthly meetings for local eco groups and Age UK meet ups.
Sacha has always been interested in arts and crafts, finding them very therapeutic and enjoys seeing the finished articles. Just over a year ago she was given a needle felt kit, from which started a hobby that has kept her entertained and provided handmade gifts for friends and family, and then for others when she started selling them in Sugar & Spice. The scope is endless for needle felting, whether that is jewelry, toys, decorations or accessories. Being able to take inspiration from nature whilst using natural and local resources are Sacha’s main aims.
